Hanna & Lenny || The Glass Factory || 02.11.2023
On February 11th, 2023, Hanna and Lenny said “I do” at the beautiful The Glass Factory in Jacksonville, Florida. But for these two lovebirds, the journey to this special day started much earlier—years earlier, but they’re not exactly sure when. You see, Hanna and Lenny had been part of the same friend group for years before they even began dating, but they have no recollection of when they had first met! Even so, soon after starting to date, it didn’t take long for them to decide that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. Plus, when Lenny proposed on the beach at sunrise in January 2022 (under the guise that they were going to be part of their friends' maternity shoot!), it was clear how much he loved her.
Since Hanna has an aversion to wearing jewelry, Lenny had to be creative with his proposal. As the couple we were walking towards the beach, Hanna saw the photographer but also a heart drawn in the sand with a box sitting in the middle. In the box were photos of Lenny and their dog, Theo, with a message board. The final photo on the message board asked Hanna to say yes. Lenny got down on one knee to give a speech that neither can even remember and the rest is history!
The Perfect Venue with Endless Possibilities
When it came time to choose their wedding venue, Hanna and Lenny chose The Glass Factory in Jacksonville, FL because of its industrial vibe as well as its flexibility; they could bring in their own vendors and weren’t limited by a small guest list like some venues are.
The Glass Factory boasts 16,000 square feet of customizable space and it is sure to meet any needs and preferences. Built by Henry Klutho in 1936 for the Pittsburg Plate Glass Company, The Glass Factory stands as a testament to the city’s history, with its industrial aesthetic still intact. Over the years, it has housed many different operations, yet its original charm remains. Make your next event an unforgettable one at The Glass Factory!
Couples’ Advice
We asked the couple what piece of advice they would offer other couples when planning their wedding and they said "It's going to be expensive, but don't take the cheap route on the things that matter most to you. It was really important to us that we worked with vendors that were experienced, well reviewed, and liked working with each other ... which is why we stuck very closely to preferred vendor lists."
This is how they found Bow Tie Photo & Video! Hanna and Lenny shared that from their first conversation with Zack, they immediately felt like Bow Tie was a good fit for their special day. Zack was straightforward, knowledgeable, responsive, and felt like someone you could get a beer with (and he is exactly just that!). That energy, along with the team's talent, is what they needed on their day. Additionally, the couple felt our pricing is very reasonable for all that we include in our Bow Tie Photo & Video packages.
